A grid-connected solar electricity system links several solar panels together through an inverter to the power grid. No electrical storage batteries are required, as excess electricity generated by the solar panels not required by devices in the house is redirected into the grid, meaning that unused power from the solar panels can make your power bill small or obsolete. The peak generation of power is on a clear day when the sun is perpendicular to the solar array. Clouds, seasonal changes in the angle of the sun, array soiling, roof orientation, and any incidental shading may impact on the performance.
How It Works
A Solar Energizer allows residents to plug into the sun and convert sunlight into standard household electricity. Our systems utilise the latest high efficiency solar panel technologies to collect the sunlight and specialised electronic devices to convert and control the flow of electricity.
When your Solar Energizer generates more power than your household uses, any excess electricity flows into the grid, effectively spinning your electric meter backwards and building a credit against your bill.
The Solar Energizer system now includes a compact wireless display (SolarSight) so you can view and monitor your solar system's performance from the comfort of your living room - or indeed any room!

Solar Electricity - Battery Backup
Natural Technology Systems, with its experience in hybrid power systems, has designed and produced a grid-battery backup system to give you uninterrupted power 24 hours a day. A battery backup system operates to supply you with electricity when the electricity grid fails. A design feature is an external generator interphase power point.
Maintenance
The only maintenance you need carry out with your grid-connected solar electricity system is to keep your panels clean (much like your windows). This will give you efficient, clean and green electricity production for over 20 years.
Installation
Installation is carried out by Natural Technology’s licensed electricians and certified installers and should only take about half a day to complete. We will then show you how to keep your system working at its optimal level.
Where to Install?
Natural Technology Systems will work with you to ensure efficient placement of the solar panels that will also fit in with the aesthetics of your home or office. Generally, solar panels need to face north on an angle of 30 degrees for maximum efficiency. The inverter needs to be placed near the electrical switchboard and we will ensure that it is professionally fitted and aesthetically acceptable.

1,860 Watt System: entire kitchen (as above), washing machine (4 uses per week), clothes dryer, iron, lights, TV, TV components, vacuum cleaner, stereo, power tools, clock radios, answering machine, sewing machine and computer (4 hours per day).
2,790 Watt System: the same as for the entire 2,250 watt system plus another large appliance, such as an air conditioner for 6 hours a day in the summer months.
